Title

African Camel Bell from El Dere, Somalia (Africa Display Case Item - Image 6 of 6)

Description

View of a camel bell, made from an unknown type of wood, acquired from a nomad camp east of El Dere, Somalia. The shape is atypical of Somali bells indicating another artisan, age, or perhaps tribe. The wood is weathered and damaged, showing signs of severe wear and old age.
