Dear Mr. Shepard:
I am informed that you recently donated to the Library at Utah State
University 406 books from the Charmian London collection. Our Librarian,
Dr. Milton C. Abrams, and Dr. King Hendricks, Head of the Department of
English at the University and an authority on the writings of Jack London,
have valued your gift of first editions, inscribed works and other volumes
at $11, 821.
This unusual collection will greatly enrich our holdings at the Library
and will benefit all members of our student-body. Please accept our sincere
