Life History and Management of the Cache Deer Herd by Jerry William Hill. A thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Wildlife Management, Utah State Agricultural College, Logan, Utah, 1952.
It is the purpose of this paper to (1) record the physical characteristics of the Cache mule deer, (2) report the many details of life history which are peculiar to this animal, and (3) discuss the relationship of this information to proper management. The final objective of these studies is to help make possible a maximum annual harvest of deer consistent with the welfare of the range and the best interests of stockmen, sportsmen, and landowners.
