Title

Liquidation of the Becker Brewing and Malting Company Legal Contract, 1919

Description

This contract outlines the legal processes for liquidating the Becker Brewing and Malting Company of Evanston, Wyoming. A vote was taken by the shareholders on January 15, 1919 to liquidate the company. The decision was made in response to increasing prohibition threats. All of the land, buildings, equipment, stocks, vehicles, furniture and supplies were auctioned off and the profit was divided amongst the shareholders. This document details the assets to be sold, who purchased them, and what each shareholder's portion was to be. Gustav Becker personally purchased the right, title, interest and estate of the Becker Brewing and Malting Company for a sum of $70,000.
