Description

This photograph was taken by either Zane Grey or another unknown photographer during Zane Grey's trip to Rainbow Bridge in April 1922. This photograph shows what Zane Grey describes as the "Moki Village" (referring to the Spanish name Moqui for the Hopi Indians) near Tuba City in his article "Down into the Desert." The real name of this village is most likely Moencopi which is is located near Tuba City.
