a letter therein I said
"I quote fron the Portland Laoor ?r6S3,as follows.
"So san can fall lower than a
soldier,It Is a depth beneath
which we cannot go".
The quotation, coast wide and long,has been attributed to you,it has boon puollshod a good *any times
in the Press,I believed it to b* trug untill a few
days ago I saw an item wheroln you stated
"I never wrote it".
If your denial holds good it behoves se to beg your
pardon for ray scathiag epistle bearing date of July
28th 1911, which was hot shot ,full of thistles.

wipe off un; wrong I nay have uawltingly eosnited,
