CALL OF THE ROAD City man How young man who'd always lived in city and supposed himself thoroughly and entirely an urbanite, when he finally tramps to sur finds that really he's a born vag; and declines to return at all. His companion, whom he has gradually been surpassing in anti-tenderfoo-ism can't make him out.... In this, the paragraph about sitting on fence rail. ??? out great mouthful of tobacco and said "I could write something exquisitely subtle about those delicate hill peaks," and, with that, he spat out a great mouthful of tobacco.
