Mr. Juan Pablo Spicer-Escalante talks about his childhood in Kansas, his warm feelings towards Argentina, his adopted country, his work as a professional soccer official and taking time off from perusing a PhD in economics, changing his major to Latin literature studies, earning a PhD and his love of teaching. He talks about his marriage to his Mexican wife who he met in Illinois, who is also a university professor, and their life together with their son. He talks about his job as a teacher at Utah State University, his love of outdoor pursuits, including skiing and biking. He also talks about his warm feelings for his neighborhood in Cache Valley where he now lives. He talks about local and world politics, and his love of travelling, writing, reading and thinking.
