We have seen through our post war cookbooks how society was affected by them.  Religious cookbooks made communities, others promoted a brand, taught us how to can, showed women how to be their ideal weight, and others just show America’s obsession with gelatin.

Cookbooks are only one part of the complicated domestic life in Post-War America. Society as a whole showed the cultural change that stemmed from the Second World War. These changes helped push America into a new era.
