George Dewey Clyde
Not only did Israelsen conduct extensive research, he also trained and mentored countless students. George Dewey Clyde graduated from USU in 1921, and after earning an advanced degree from Berkeley in 1923, he found immediate employment pioneering the Utah snow survey system through USU’s Experiment Station. In 1936, following Ray B. West’s untimely death, USU selected Clyde to replace him as dean of engineering.
