Logan Cemetery
Cache Valley has many “public” cemeteries. The current Logan City Cemetery at 1000 North 1200 East was established in 1860. The first person interred here was Kate Blair. The original Logan City Cemetery was located at 700 East 500 North but was moved to accommodate the growth of Logan City. The exact date of the closure is lost to time. At the time of closure, family members could choose to have their loved ones remains moved to the new cemetery or they could have them moved to other places. Forty-two unknown pioneers’ bodies were not claimed. Their remains were moved to the new Logan City Cemetery where they are interred in what is known as the “Pioneer Plot.”
