Commencement Ceremony “Souvenir Program”

June 1, 1908

This program was a “souvenir of the visit of Hon. Jeremiah Wilson Sanborn.” The first president of the Utah Agricultural College, Jeremiah W. Sanborn, was an honored guest at the fourteenth UAC commencement ceremony. The program includes profiles on Hon. Anthon H. Lund, “The Father of the Act of Establishment,” Hon. Jeremiah W. Sanborn, Hon. W. S. McCornick, a significant sponsor of UAC, and Miss Vendla Berntson, the first student registered at the college in 1890.

This document also includes pictures of the first faculty and graduates at the college, a program of the dedicatory exercises of the college in 1890, some results of experiments made at the Experiment Station of the college, a list of significant events involved in the creation of the college, and a program of the 1908 Monday evening exercises.
