The Windows of St. John's

This gallery of photos includes most of the church's beautiful stained glass windows that have been commissioned and donated in the last century. Each has a deep religious meaning to the churchgoers, who see them weekly as they participate in rites.

The Barrett Window Plaque

The Barrett Window

The Barrett Window was donated in the honor of Adelaide Cochrane Barrett, one of the earliest schoolteachers of St. John's Mission School. It depicts an angel watching over a young boy who is playing in a field of flowers while being threatened by a snake. Because this window was donated in 1910, we do not have a full explanation of the icons in the window.
